The Best Delivery in New York City - A Guide to Take-Out in BoCoCa, Brooklyn
New York Magazine has a guide to delivery in the author's hood! While we greatly disagree with some of the choices, it's still worth a gander. We heartily agree with Crave but some other choices, Schnaak or Jake's BBQ for example, are just a writer doing a quick search in the yellow pages (ugh!). And let's face it, Empire Kitchen has been out of business for over a year now!
Still, we hanker to try Joya since we loathe going there in person (house music blaring in your ear distracts from yummy food). We normally recommend Thai Sesame for Thai in the hood but nothing beats Thai Cafe in Williamsburg. It's not delivery, baby so get on that G train and get some real Thai!
Zaytoon's is indeed some of the best Middle Eastern food in the hood but go in person. This blogger has had his fare share of mix ups from Zaytoon's. We dislike having our labneh, or even worse, the tabouleh (best in Brooklyn) forgotten. And it happens more often than not. For the best shawerma, Fountain Cafe is the only choice!
But, as we mentioned above, the article is at the very least worth a quick gander! (Thank god they did not mention Frankie's 457, which is over priced, pretentious and lame.)
