An Ode to Shabat Dinner
The sun has set not long ago
Now off to Shabat dinner we go
To break our bread at Rita's Place
And eat and eat and stuff our face
We'll find our places, without maps
Then put our napkins in our laps
A bottel of red, another of white
We'll drink and drink till we're no longer polite
And when the moon is on the rise
We'll be getting ready to say our goodbyes
then out the door but not so fast
We'll be sad to be leaving Rita's place at last
The dinner is done
we say goodnight
and we slowly walk home
in the full moon's light
The moon is high
The walk home steep,
But happy and sated
that we had all been well feted!
Now off to Shabat dinner we go
To break our bread at Rita's Place
And eat and eat and stuff our face
We'll find our places, without maps
Then put our napkins in our laps
A bottel of red, another of white
We'll drink and drink till we're no longer polite
And when the moon is on the rise
We'll be getting ready to say our goodbyes
then out the door but not so fast
We'll be sad to be leaving Rita's place at last
The dinner is done
we say goodnight
and we slowly walk home
in the full moon's light
The moon is high
The walk home steep,
But happy and sated
that we had all been well feted!
