The sheer genius of it all

Many of you know that I am expecting! Thank you, thank you very much! The point being that the purchase of electric and electronic devices supposed to soothe or stimulate your babies has begun. If you didn't already know, let me tell you now that these devices are all battery operated. The swing? Battery operated. The bouncy seat? Battery operated. And guess what? It's not AA or AAA batteries either. Oh No! These puppies require C or D batteries! Do you even remember what those are? Anyway.....

So I have all these new devices that require C and D batteries and, of course, I start exploring and researching rechargeable batteries. And let me just say that the technology for rechargeable C and D batteries is nowhere near as good as it is for AA and AAA. Actually, it seems like C and D rechargeables are stuck in the stone age. I can recharge a AA in 15 minutes, but it takes 5 hours to recharge a C or D battery! And its not like a C or D battery lasts longer or anything. The voltage and mAh are very close! Anyway.....

I can now buy the best rechargeable AA batteries on the market, put them in these plastic enclosures and plug them right into my power hungry bouncy seat! And when they die, I simply take them out, recharge them and voila, 15 min later, bouncy seat is bouncy again!
