Star Wars Fan Film "Star Wars:Revelations" released!

A 40 minute fan film created in the Star Wars universe was released this month to much fanfare (get it? fan fare!). I'm downloading the 250 MB Quicktime file as we speak, and fear not faithful reader, a review will be available in short order!

And yet, I can't help but think it will be better than the trash GL has been throwing at us in Episodes I and II. What a disappointment those films were and what a let down after the first trilogy that raised our expectations so high! And yes, I'm still going to see Episode III when it comes out, but probably not on opening day.

Anyway, back to Revelations, this kind of stuff is exciting because it's a Hollywood style big budget FX extravaganza that was done on less than $17K! But even better than that, you have to give GL kudos for allowing fans to participate in the myth he created and expand upon it for the enjoyment of all. Viacom could learn a lesson here since all they've done is strangle and choke the life out of Star Trek to the detriment of the franchise and the license. You go George! And you go Panic Studios!
