Upside down tomato planter! No Really! No! Really!

I thought this was a great idea, because I'm a college student and renting, so I don't have a lot of space. But I couldn't find a store in town that had even heard of these. I just bought my tomato plants, so ordering online wasn't an option, and the $20 price tag wasn't appealing. So I made my own out of plastic pots, pantyhose, coffee filters, and hanging basket wire. If it works, I'll post later and let you all know!
Awesome! Dying to know if you successfully grow the tomatoes! Also, how did you build the planter yourself? Instructions would be awesome! Keep us posted!
